ANZAC DAY 2019 - WE THANK OUR SPONSORS!
A HUGE "Thank You"!
We have a major ANZAC Day project planned for this year. You can imagine the challenges to bring it together, especially in covering costs. The actual day is now just a week away and we wish to express a huge thank you to the groups that are supporting our 2019 ANZAC Day with their generous fundraising and community efforts! This list grows every day! Please check back regularly for full acknowledgements.

The Halcombe ANZAC Committee recently had some great news! Their application to the Eastern and Central Community Trust was successful and they have received a grant of $4,300 towards this year's ANZAC Day commemoration. Congratulations to the team and especially to Wayne Short, who worked hard on the application and liaised with the Trust to bring about this great result. This generous grant, along with the wonderful support received from our local community, will go a long way to making our ANZAC Day 2019 a huge success.

On 29th March, a dedicated team gave up their Friday afternoon to assist My Plumbing Depot Feilding with their annual stocktake and, thanks to their hard work, were able to contribute another $792 to the funds - WAY above the $300 expected! A huge "thank you" to Wayne, Jeannette, Karen, Scott, Richard, Faye, Alex & Alison for their efforts. This will certainly be a great help towards the Halcombe ANZAC day.

From Brenda & Gavin Scott, a wonderful donation of $50 for ANZAC Day.
Gavin has helped with our ANZAC Day service for many years, assisting with the programme and leading the service as our Pastor. We appreciate Brenda & Gavin’s generous donation. www.scottbasebedandbreakfast.co.nz |
From Lianne Masters - Property Brokers - a very kind donation of $500 towards ANZAC Day costs. Leanne is a fine example of someone that lives, works and plays in her community. Leanne is also one of our many dedicated poppy makers! https://liannemasters.propertybrokers.co.nz |
An integral part of the final assembly for our ANZAC poppies is the welding rods used for the stems. Thanks to the generosity of TradeZone in Palmerston North, the welding rods have been donated. This is greatly appreciated and saves us over $200. Thank you to Brad McDonald, Sales Manager and Brendon Ryan, Branch Manager of TradeZone, for your support and commitment to our project. A very generous gift.

Also, Bunnings Warehouse Feilding helped us with a massive 50% discount on the cost of the epoxy glues needed for the poppy assembly. Thanks to Hayley and the wonderful Bunnings Feilding staff for your support!
