Halcombe Community Development Group (HCDG)

The Halcombe Community Development Group (HCDG) is the local community committee. The group was formed to support the growth and development of Halcombe and the neighbouring communities of Stanway, Tokorangi and Kakariki.

​The group works hard to make life better for all Halcombe residents, both through its links with the Manawatu District Council and also in providing activities and events that bring the community together.

The HCDG has been  instrumental in co-ordinating activities like the Walkway Project and ANZAC Day commemorations, preserving Halcombe's history and strengthening the community's emergency preparedness through a close relationship with the regional Civil Defence team.       

The HCDG supports residents in getting action from Council over a range of issues including roading, water scheme developments, rubbish disposal, and maintenance and improvement of recreational facilities in the village. 

Meetings are usually held the 1st Monday of each month. Committee meetings will alternate with a focus topic presentation & discussion. Everyone is welcome. ​Check our Facebook Group for the next meeting time and place.
